Inspiration From The Distant Past
Found note in an old book... warms the cockles of my bookish heart...

Competition finished. Winner announced soon!

DRAWING SOON!

After writing my post on Bianca's bumping off, I had a quick look on the large river book retailer and was horrified at the price of the book.
For a second hand version it was about ten times what I paid in my local Australian Walmart-type store.

So I have decided to part with my copy of Who Killed Bianca? in a give away to celebrate our 38th follower. The rules are just about as simple as Lesa and I could make them.

  • You can't be related to us, sorry Mom.

  • You must comment on this post telling us about reading in the bath. Include a contact email address in case you are the lucky winner.

  • No photos of you reading in the bath, please!

After a week from the moment of this posting, (more or less) I will write a number for each comment on a little scrap of paper and draw it out of a shower cap. The lucky winner will be immediately notified via email. As soon as the winner provides a mailing address, I will post your bath book tout de suite.

If the winner does not respond within three days, a second winner will be drawn from the shower cap, or maybe I will give it to my Mom.

Please be clear that this is a nice, clean, un-waterstained second hand book. We are not like those other blogs that give you books you can't bathe with!

What a pleasure to meet so many wonderful fellow book lovers and bloggers. Thank you for reading Baja Greenawalt's Cozy Book Nook and participating in our first giveaway.

  1. Oh I love reading in the bath! I have spent many long hours reading in my tub. I feel as if my small bathroom is a haven from the world. When I want complete silence when reading I turn on the water, pour in the bubble bath and slip in with a beloved book. I have only dropped one book in the tub, as luck would have it, it was a library book. The library ended up with a new book, i have the water stained book on my shelf.

  2. Reading in the tub is one of my all time faves. More often than not, my facebook status states - "bath, book, bed".
I have never lost a book to the tub (knock on wood), and of course now that I said that, you know I'm gonna dunk one tonight!

  5. Don't often get a chance to, but when my girls are visiting family...I could stay in the bath for HOURS! Just drain some water, and refill with HOT, HOT, HOT! LOL

  8. There's only one thing better than reading in the bath-reading in the bath while eating chocolate! I just found your blog and it's delightful.

  9. Welcome Christy-- Thanks for the compliment, following and entering!

Happy I found your delightful blog-- tasty food and good reads-- what could be better! Yum!

Oh yes, chocolate--- mmm, dark chocolate for me--- except I like to nibble and savor my little square for 30 minutes-- it would get all melty from the steam.

  10. Did I make it in the knick of time. More or less? I really do need to take advantage of more Calgon moments, but I use the shower more than our jacuzzi tub. Takes so darn long to fill up.

I love your Mrs. Greenawalt--and the idea of a traveling book around the world (kind of like the traveling pants:) Someone recently told me about their experience. How fun!

  11. COMPETITION CLOSED

Kim, even though we have very strict rules and standards here, I will let you enter. I can justify that with the time zone difference between the US and Australia, etc! And I am a nice person...

So, after a cup or two of Lady Grey I will draw a name out of a shower cap and announce the winner. Because we have a strict schedule....
